Several comments here within this blog ask about delivery times for the new Madone. Trek is making 2008 bikes as fast as we can to fill orders and make happy customers. All production lines are at 100% and all sizes in all layup schedules are in production. Orders are filled on first placed, first filled basis (big shops don't have priority over smaller shops) so as long as your local Trek dealer has an order in, it will be filled.

Just found out earlier this week that my June 26th order will be filled on or about Nov. 4. At least I now know when I'll get my grubby little hands on my new 5.5.

That cost an extra $120.00! The set mask is pretty cool design, however, the spherical ball and socket in the mask do not mate (articulate) correctly. It’s very hard to adjust the seat angle.
The headset, spacers and steerer don’t seem to fit right. There is a big gap between the top of the frame and the first spacer.
Overall the bike is great. Good fit, great ride. Very nice design and draws a lot of attention…

Took deelivery of my 5.5 on 8/10. Took 40 days from date of order. Boy, was it ever worth the wait. Eye popping beautiful ride!

I know this is about the madone, but what are the delivery dates for the rest of the 2008 lineup, specifically the ttx? After seeing that blue one under team discovery I'm hoping that is the standard design and not just a p one setup

Just got my new Madone 5.2 three weeks ago and took it out on the local trail two days ago. WOW! what a sweet bike!. I was told I was the first to get my hands on one here in central florida and spent two weeks waiting for my time off from work and the weather to alow me to ride. All I can say is that it rides smoother and handles better than my older madone. In fact I called a friend and sold my old one when I got home from my first ride! To everyone waiting...just hold on it's worth the wait.
