Up The Road

Putting it all together

Levi is the National Champ.  That means he gets to ride in a National Champion Jersey.  Trek went the extra mile to make sure he matched head to toe.  I can't wait to see this put together, for now you will have to enjoy it in it's pieces.

want size is the road bike and how tall is levi I am 5,9 and own a new 2008 madone 5.2 pro size 54cm. The bike feels a little to big . Want is the right size for me PLEASE?

Levi Rides a size 54cm but I am not sure how tall he is, maybe 5' 8"? Even if you are the same height as Levi it is imperative that you get fit properly for your bike, many people with the same height ride different size bikes and stems it is totally dependent on your anatomy.

The bikes looked great out there. It was good to talk to you Ben about the bikes, im glad they are working out well and I hope to see whats new in the coming months. I hope to see Levi use the TTX even more effectively at Solvang. See ya Later.

Bike Looks great, hope something similar will be available on next years Project One.

I got one question though, I saw on pics from the Opening Prologue that there was Cork Brake pads on some of the guys handlebars attached on the top. It has been bugging me, what is it for? Are the bikes that close to the weight min?

What is the gearing that the team uses on mountain stages?

It really depends on the stage. They usually use a 39/26 but they do have access to 38 tooth chain rings and even compacts if the climb is steep enough.

So would the climbers on the team use a compact with a 11/27 on the classic Tour de France climbs? I'm trying to figure out what I'm seeing when I'm watching the mtn. stages on TV. The commentators don't seem to mention gearing with any specifics. Thanks.

No they only use the compact on the ridiculous climbs in the Giro. In the Tour they usually run a standard 39/53 up front and a 12/25 in the back on climbing stages. The 27 only gets put on the bikes very very rarely.
