Trek just finished hosting a 2000-guest event held in Madison, WI. The 10 day event broke down into four show blocks: informational seminars for inside and outside sales reps, a show for shop mechanics and salespeople and two product shows for Trek store dealers/owners.
The show for shop mechanics and salespeople was dubbed Backstage. It gave Trek the opportunity have face to face discussions with people that have hands-on interaction and influence with Trek products. Daily mountain and road rides, short technical seminars and Factory Tours filled the day and on the last night we turned the Trek parking lot into a circus. A live band (click here Supersuckers) rocked the show and a hair salon and tattoo studio was next to Dave Mirra's ramp show. It's inexcusable that I don't have pictures, I know.
Trek's advocacy programs are gaining momentum and making a diffrence. We contributed more cash to IMBA in the last year than the rest of the bike industry combined (link here). Our on-site event was a 1000 bike ride from downtown to the UW campus.
The product show was the real reason for Trekworld. The "booth" is an expo space that displays 350 bikes (all Trek brands) and countless information kiosks. The road bike display had all our new P-One paint schemes in addition to the bikes in the line - it covered up a fair bit of carpet.

Just got a look at your new 09 line- looks great but one thing was missing . . . I noticed there was no "Handmade in the USA" sticker on the chainstay? Are the bikes from the 6.9 to the 5.2 still made in the states or are they made overseas? Only reason I ask is because Trek is one of the few large companies to still make a few of their bikes in house and I think this is very special considering the recent economic circumstances. Let us know by proudly labeling the bikes as such.
Thanks for your reply Scott D.

Just reading through some posts and I found it interesting that you didn't rspond to Will's question about whether the top end bikes are built here in the USA. Well?

To respond to Will's question (and Jason's reminder) about where the Madones are made: All OCLV bikes are made in Waterloo, WI. This includes Madone models 5.1 thru 6.9, WSD Madones, the new Top Fuel and all 9.0 and above TTX bikes.
